Presentation (5): What does this company do to make me want to drink their beer? Is the cover funky? Do they have funny descriptions. Are they super snooty?
Originality (5): Is it a standard brown ale? Does it use curry powder to make it a funky kind of brown ale? Does everyone else make it? All these contribute to originality
Body (10): Is it so overcarbonated that it burns on the way down? How does it feel on the pallet. This is snobbery, after all.
Taste (10): How does it taste relative to other things in its category. IE: Not does a stout taste better than all beers, but does a stout taste better then other stouts.
Efficiency (10): A very secretive formula combining alcohol by-volume with relative speed of drinking it and how many you can drink before feeling ill. About as complicated as the Google Page Rank algorithm.
Versatility (10): How many things is this beer good for? Is it good for drinking games? Is it good for poker? Is it good for just sitting around and drinking? Example: Coors Light would score a 10 versatility rating. Sam Adams Triple Bock would not.
